The
Cajun French Music Association Board of Directors meets twice
each month. Every first Monday of each month the general
membership and the Board hold our monthly meeting and meal at
the V. F. W. Post #2130. After the meal and meeting,
entertainment is provided by one of our Chapter bands. The
membership is invited to stay and dance or just enjoy the
music. The second meeting each month is normally the third
Tuesday and consists of primarily of the Board of Directors;
any one wishing to attend is welcome and may participate if
they request to be placed on the agenda.
There are also various committees that have the responsibility
of preparing and presenting ideas and suggestions to the Board
of Directors and to the general membership. Each committee has
their own chairperson and usually meet monthly to work toward
their assigned task. Two of these committees, are the Festival
Committee and the Building Committee. The Festival Committee
is in charge of preparing for our annual festival held the
third weekend of July. The Building Committee is presently
working on grants and a building design so that we will be
able to build our Chapter facility as soon as possible.
