Earl was born in 1927 in Grand Lake. He passed away in 1977. Earl played the guitar and accordion and started performing with other area Cajun musicians after serving in World War II. A bus driver for the City of Lake Charles, he was known as the "singing bus driver".
In 1946, he formed the Musical Aces, which included Wilson Granger, Louis Fournerat, Alfred Cormier, Iry LeJeune, Crawford Vincent and Ernest Fruge.
Also included were Nathan Abshire, "Coon" Guidry, Atlas Fruge and Ernest Thibodeaux who eventually were members of the famous Pine Grove Boys. DeMary played rhythm guitar on "Pine Grove Blues", and the "Kaplan Waltz," both released on the OT label. In the 1950's he played with Iry LeJeune and the Calcasieu Playboys before retiring from professional music performing.
