The purpose of this Krewe is to continue the tradition of Cajun Mardi Gras.

Krewe de les Cajun du CFMA takes part in the Mardi Gras Celebration of Southwest Louisiana.  They hold their annual Ball every year and take part in the Royal Gala held at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

The Lake Charles Chapter’s Mardi Gras Krewe, Krewe de Les Cajuns, will hold its’ annual Mardi Gras Ball on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the VFW Post 2130 located on Country Club Road in Lake Charles beginning at 7:30 PM.  Admission will be $7.00 at the door.  Dress is casual and music will be provided by Chris Miller and Bayou Roots.  They will have a costume contest awarding prizes for: Prettiest; Most Original; and Funniest costumes.  The public is invited.  For more information, please contact Renola Simon at 337-477-4475.

They have their own float and parade on Fat Tuesday in the Krewe of Krewes Parade in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
